Paleo Chipotle BBQ Sauce (low-FODMAP, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free)


3/4 cup tomato puree

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon pineapple juice

1 tablespoon ground mustard

3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1/2 - 1 teaspoon liquid smoke

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

BBQ Sauce


In a small bowl whisk together all the ingredients. Taste to make sure it is at the right smokiness or sweetness for your personal taste. If it is too sweet add a little more vinegar. For a bit of a kick you can add a pinch of cayenne. Enjoy!

*Notes- Natural smoke can be more concentrated (thick and oily) than typical liquid smoke therefore a little goes a long way!
